As a teenager, I discovered my passion for bringing joy through creativity. I hand-painted baby onesies, selling them to my mom's bowling friends. The delight on their faces when they saw my creations ignited a spark within me—a spark that has guided my entire entrepreneurial journey.
Today, I'm the founder of Wynn Modern Art
(https://wynnmodernart.com), a company born from
both passion and pain. After losing my best friend—my
service dog of 10 years—to cancer, I fell into a deep
depression.
It was fluid art that pulled me out, reigniting that childlike wonder I'd felt as a teenage artist.
Wanting to share this joy, I began offering free online mini-classes, which quickly blossomed into a thriving business. Within three months, I sold my first piece of art for thousands.
Six years ago, I launched my non-toxic art supply company, featuring innovative products you won't find anywhere else. I take immense pride in ensuring our metallic and glow products, from manufacturing to packaging, are made right here in the USA. Beyond supplies, we offer online courses teaching fluid art techniques and the business of selling art.
My journey hasn't been without challenges. I've faced negative feedback that once shook my confidence, made hiring mistakes, and struggled to build a solid business foundation. But each setback taught me valuable lessons about resilience, self-care, and the importance of surrounding myself with the right team. It's also inspired me to teach the power of art as a means to manage the effects of depression, PTSD and anxiety. I've spoken on morning shows many times about this important topic to me.
These experiences have shaped my unique approach: a genuine, heartfelt commitment to my customers' success. Money isn't my driving factor—seeing others succeed is what fuels my passion. Whether it's through our elite art supplies, branding materials, interior design services, art classes, or mentoring sessions, my goal is always to provide top-tier value.
My entrepreneurial spirit has led me to unexpected places. I've been honored to write for Forbes magazine, fulfilling a dream. Recently, I've embarked on a new adventure as an interior designer for a world-renowned resort—an opportunity that materialized just months after the idea first struck me.
Personal experiences continue to shape my business journey. A beach cabana I built in Belize, near a bioluminescent lagoon, inspired many of the glow products we now offer. The success of my ventures has allowed me to support my children through significant life stages, adding an extra layer of fulfillment to my work. (And of course, a whole lot of spoiling my dogs “Biscuit” and “Chowder”)
As an artistic introvert myself, I understand the struggles with confidence that many creatives face. That's why I'm dedicated to empowering artists to believe in themselves and their work. Every time I hear that I've changed someone's life through my products, teachings, or mentorship, I'm reminded of why I do what I do.
Looking ahead, my vision remains clear: to bring beauty, calm, and confidence into my customers' lives through all of my businesses. It's the same goal that motivated me as a teenage artist painting onesies—to spread joy through creativity.
