Victoria, Why don’t your crushed mirror pieces and shells fall off❓

I get this question often and will get right to the point with sharing some things I’ve learned from my (so far) 700 hours of innovation, practice and experimentation:

1. I do not add water to my pouring mixture
Add acrylic paint plus a quality pouring medium (not glue) ?

2. I use high quality acrylics, not craft paints from those little .99 bottles ??

3. I add my elements when I’m happy with my piece. Don’t add them and then tilt any further. The paint ruins them by flooding over them. (Done this so many times. Finally figured out – the paint always wins and the paint says, “I’m going to run all over anything in my path if you tilt me!”) ?

4. The elements must be added when the paint is wet still. ?

5. Allow to dry for 1-2 weeks (more for larger pieces) ?

6. Tap your piece to get the couple of loose pieces of mirror, shell or rocks off  (I get very little because the paint and pouring medium mixture is a great adhesive) ?

7. Add a resin coating or a high gloss varnish like polycrylic ! ?

8. Hang on the wall because you’re glorious and a bad ass ?
